Pat is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Nancy, daughters Ryleigh Martin, and Danielle Gould, son in law Miles Gould, granddaughters Lyla and Paige, and his brother Rick (Debbie).
Pat was predeceased by his father Gordon, mother Mary, and brother John (Gail).
Pat grew up in St. Vital, attended Glenlawn Collegiate, then went on to earn a degree in Civil Engineering at the U of M in 1970. Pat spent over 40 years working for the Provincial Government, specifically with the office of conservation. The pride of his career was his extensive work on the walking and biking trails throughout the Whiteshell Provincial Park.
Pat’s happy place was his home on the Red River, as well as the family cabin on West Hawk Lake. Pat was a lover of the outdoors and most of his days were spent gardening, fishing, golfing, and “rendering” on the dock/deck while sipping a glass of wine, surrounded by his favourite people.
Paddy faced life and death with courage and kindness. We are so lucky to have known Pat. He will always be missed and reminisced as “forever a young guy”.
A “Party for Paddy” will be held on November 28th at 5:00pm at the St. Boniface Golf Club.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joel Geingrich and Cheryl Greaves of CancerCare Manitoba for their never ending hope and support, as well as the amazing staff at St. Boniface Palliative unit. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Paddy to CancerCare Manitoba.
