Marie Ada Norton

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother on Aug. 23, 2024 at the age of 94, with her daughter Kathy by her side.

She was born in The Pas, Manitoba to the late Ernie and Lillian Barr.

Marie will be remembered most for her zest for life, sense of humour, kindness and caring nature, and ability to arrange social events with her numerous groups of friends. If you needed a party organized – Call Marie

She worked for many years as a legal secretary with various law firms in Winnipeg, and after retirement went on to volunteer with Meals on Wheels, St. Bernadette Parish and The House of Peace.

Her true love in life was being with and taking care of her family. She was an amazing mother and grandmother, always there to listen, laugh, encourage and love.

Predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Tiller and her late husband Wynn Norton, sister Joan Allison and brother James Barr. Left to cherish her memories are her three children, Bruce Tiller, Jeff Tiller (Rhonda), Kathy Peters (Sandy), and her grandchildren Josh (Megan), Evan, Robert and Troy.

She is also survived by her siblings, Bobby, Eddie, Kathi and Joey and many close nieces and nephews.

The family invites you to join them for a Come-and-Go celebration of Marie's life at Dakota Community Centre, 1188 Dakota Street on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
