Denis Philion

Suddenly, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Denis, with his family by his side on Friday, October 4th, 2013 at the age of 62 years at the Concordia Hospital.

Denis will be lovingly remembered by his spouse Joyce; children Jason (Chrissy), Joel (Jeannette), Shannon (Danny) and Shelley; his grandchildren Rhea, Alexis, Paige, Zander; Cole, Carson; Bryn, Rowan; Brett and Noah; brothers and sisters Helene (Ron), Aline (Lynn), Lucien, Beatrice (Greg), Louise (Richard), Yolande (Rob) Simone (Ernie), and Gerard (Kathy); sister-in-laws Darlene, Pam (Ron); brother-in-law Bryan (Marlene) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by his parents Alphonse (1990) and Yvonne (2011) Philion; and sister Irene (2002).

Denis was born May 17, 1951. He was the oldest of 10 children. He was a hard working owner-operator at Canada Messenger, Northern Meats and for the last 16 years, as a painter at New Flyer.

He loved travelling, being at the lake, a bargain shopper for the best deal and most of all, attending the grandchildren’s sport games.

To all of his friends, he was the cook “Chef”, a handy man and mover. He will be sadly missed by all.

Prayers will take place at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 7:00pm. The funeral service will take place at Green Acres Funeral Home on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:00 P.M.
