Stephen (Steve) John Gonzales was born on July 22, 1963. He is the youngest son of seven children born to Ramona and Robert Gonzales. Siblings are Robert (TY), Raymond, Alex (Debra) and sisters Lydia, Lynda (Doug) and Cathy. Also 4 nephews and 10 nieces all who share inside jokes and stories which they will treasure always .
Stephen attended St. Rita’s Catholic School, Montgomery Jr. High in Linda Vista and graduated from San Diego High School where he joined and competed on the track team which he enjoyed immensely. After graduation he joined the U.S Marine Corp and traveled to parts of the world that some of us have only dreamt of. He went on to have three beautiful daughters with Mary Beach, Davina, Desiree and Jasmine all of whom he doted on. He was a tremendously loving father and that love was reciprocated by his daughters.
He was extremely generous of his time to all whom he met and enjoyed having conversations with people from all walks of life as he possessed an inquisitive, loving and curious nature. Stephen was a very gregarious, engaging person, when you met him you did not forget him. Stephen loved life, he enjoyed working alongside his Costco family, Padre games, playing golf with family and friends and attending all family gatherings. He has passed on to be with our Lord and surely he will be involved in all sorts of conversations on all topics with family who have passed on before us. He will be greatly missed and he lives on in our hearts and memories.
As a family we find peace knowing he will be welcomed into heaven by our brothers TY and Raymond and our father Robert Gonzales. We love you very much Stephen and so we say not goodbye but “Good Night” as he was so fond of saying .
