

Her presence and talent were exhibited throughout her life.
Lois’ artistic talent was displayed with artwork for her high school annuals, her children’s grade school flyers, her son’s bowling team shirts and many great sketches, to mention a few.
She learned to drive a Model A Ford at twelve years old.
Lois loved her involvement with theatre groups whether acting or making backgrounds and doing makeup.
She started the first Epilepsy Foundation organization in Rockford, IL. She helped countless afflicted people with counseling, assistance and loving care. The Foundation had fund raisers, Concerts at the National Guard Armory. Performers included Grim Reapers (Cheap Trick), Cheech and Chong and other Headline bands.
Her careers included many years at Merle Norman Cosmetics, moving company agent, bank loan officer. She loved working with and for people. She loved volunteering in the Seniors lunchroom at Morgan Towers.
She was a tremendous “people person.” During the holiday dinners that she would prepare, she would always invite a guest who had nowhere else to go.
Lois arrived to her beloved San Diego in her VW bug from IL in 1974. She loved motorcycling through scenic SoCal. Scuba diving was also a passion. Those sunsets at Coronado Beach, and walking the other beaches were much enjoyed.
She was a loving and supportive mother and a wonderful grandmother to her 6 grandchildren. Lois also has 10 Great-Grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Stan (Alicia) Wojciechowski, daughter Christine Benton, Brother Fred (Maryann) Tarpley, grandchildren Justin (Lauren) Wojciechowski, Christopher Wojciechowski, Joshua Wojciechowski and Nichole (John) Gibbons, Veronica Bell, James Barnes, and many Great-Grandchildren.
She will be missed greatly, for her excellenct listening and counseling skills, and her always “half-full” personality.
