Joseph was born in Baguio City, Philippines on May 7, 1941. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce from the Baguio Technical and Commercial Institute (also known as Baguio Tech). He was a dedicated banker who had a long career with the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) for 34 years. Joseph was also a Philippine Army Reserve Officer.
A natural born leader, he was committed to helping others and serving his community. Joseph was Barangay Captain of Barangay Campo Filipino in Baguio City for 23 years. He was President of the Holy Name Society for three years. He was most proud of being an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Knights of Columbus where he served as a Grand Knight, District Deputy, Faithful Navigator, having reached the highest position of master of the Fourth Degree.
Joseph loved to sing and dance, and knew how to have a time. He loved to spend time with his friends and family was always the life of the party!
Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Benito and Petra, and sister Constance. He is survived by his wife, Prudenciana, children Cyrille (Gerry), Charles (Asuncion), Clark (Mariecar), Christine, and grandchildren Chloe, Shine, Calliah, Joseph, and Jose, and his siblings Zenaida, Teresita, Eduardo and Manuel.
Viewing is scheduled from 9am to 9pm on December 9, 2023 at the Funeraria del Angel. Funeral Mass will be held at 4:30pm to 5:30pm.
