Elizabeth Marie Salas was born on August 10, 1993 in San Diego, CA. She was fondly known as Liz, Marie, Nana, and Neni - and was the second child and only daughter to Anthony “Tony” Salas Jr. & Elizabeth Anne “Betsy” Salas. Elizabeth was a loving and caring daughter to her parents, and a supportive and protective sister to her brothers, Thomas Salas and Anthony “AB” Salas.
Elizabeth adored her family more than anything in this world.
She was also the fiancé to her high school sweetheart, Ernest Williams. The two had been inseparable since they were 15yrs young and they continued to grow and build a beautiful life together. Ernest was her rock, her best friend, her one & only… her everything & undeniably she was his.
She was kind hearted, silly, fun loving & patient - a woman full of so much life who had so much to give. Elizabeth had a smile and laugh so beautiful and contagious it could light up a room.
She spent most of her days alongside her fiancé Ernest who she loved dearly and shared so many dreams with. The two hoped to one day elope and start a family of their own.
Through all the obstacles she and her brothers faced, losing both parents at such a young age - still Elizabeth always remained hopeful and kept a positive outlook on life. She was the epitome of what it meant to keep a family strong & together.
Never did we imagine her life here on Earth would meet its end so suddenly and soon…
On the morning of Christmas Eve, December 24th, Elizabeth passed away in her sleep.
She had an underlying condition that spread so rapidly, unfortunately by the time her loved ones heard the news, it was too late.
Yet even in her last days, Elizabeth stayed strong, fought hard and never put her loved ones in a position to worry. Even though she may have experienced pain or discomfort, still she kept a smile on her face. Always laughing, always showing love - she never missed a beat.
Elizabeth spent her last moments with Ernest, like any normal day. They wished each other a good morning, good day… They came home to each other, enjoying their night to end with a movie. Just a few moments later… they said their final “Good night baby, I love you”
And as it may be… in God’s precious time and in His plan, Elizabeth joined Him in heaven.
As sudden, heavy and heart aching as all this is… to lose our beautiful Elizabeth… still we find peace and gratitude in knowing that she is no longer in pain and no longer suffering. Instead she has found peace and has been reunited with her parents up above. We will forever miss you Marie.
Until We Meet Again… Long live our Angel,
Elizabeth Marie Salas Williams
