William Carter Gregory

William (Bill) Gregory, age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on Thursday, August 18, 2016. He is proceeded in death by his mother, Beatrice Wantland. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Rottero Gregory; sons, Tom Gregory and Tim (Cissie) Gregory; grandchildren, Jeremy Gregory, Jason (Kenzie) Gregory, Jessica Gregory, Abigail Gregory, Carter Gregory, and Will Gregory.

Although having great success in his building career; holding many offices for church, children’s schools and in the community; his greatest success and priority was family. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed traveling. He had a great faith in God which was the foundation of his life. He was a Communicant of the Cathedral of the Incarnation and St. Edward Church. Life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 544 and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Gregory, Jason Gregory, Carter Gregory, Will Gregory, Patrick Rutherford, Angelo Vitale, David Misiewicz, David Griffith, and Will Griffith. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Kennedy, Eddie Davis, Bill Finchum and Ed Day.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 21 from 3pm - 8pm with the rosary being said at 7pm at Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home, 201 25th Ave. North. Funeral mass will be at 10am on Monday, August 22 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, 2100 West End Ave.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or St. Edward School Tuition Assistance.
