William H. Eason

Born at the original Vanderbilt Hospital on October 11, 1942, son of William Howard Eason Sr. and Susan Cheek Eason. He married Nancy St. Germain on May 30, 1998 at Harpeth Presbyterian Church in Brentwood, Tennessee, she survives.

Bill attended Robertson Academy, Battle Ground Academy, Hillsboro High school, Daytona City College (FL) and Middle Tennessee State University. Bill had a successful career as a real estate broker, developer and a builder who developed residential subdivisions and built homes throughout middle Tennessee, Longview Texas and Mexico.

Bill was a member of Greater Nashville Association of Realtors, Williamson Co. Association of Realtors, Belle Meade Country Club, First Presbyterian Church, Middle Tennessee Home Builders' Association and the NRA.

In his young years, Bill was a great athlete, winning medals in swimming and diving. He played softball in various leagues around Nashville. He also coached his son's soccer team. Bill had an easy smile, laugh and a quick wit. Bill told folks exactly what he thought and loved a good party. An honest and shrewd businessman, he sealed many deals with just a handshake and “his word was his bond".

Bill enjoyed the great outdoors, loved trees and animals, especially birds. The ocean and beach were his "second home". He enjoyed traveling, swimming, watching football, and was a voracious reader.

Bill is survived by his wife of 23 years, Nancy St. Germain Eason; one daughter, Michele Bennett (Mike); one son, William H. Eason III (Denise); brothers, Glenn W. Eason (Jan), John C. Eason (Missy); grandchildren, Joel Bennett (Dakota), Susan Bennett, Lilly Eason, Hannah Rose Eason and one great granddaughter, Nora Jo Bennett, all of Nashville.

Bill was preceded in death by both his parents.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 14 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at First Presbyterian Church-Cheek House. Celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00pm in the Sanctuary, First Presbyterian Church, 4815 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37220.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church Music Ministry; Nashville Rescue Mission; or St. Jude’s Children's' Hospital.
