Preceded in death by husbands, Dan Haskins, Sr. (1960) and William Burrum (2006); parents, Maurice and Beulah McDonald; siblings, Alden, Mary Frances, Charles, James, Tom, and Noel; and grandchildren, Lori Jones Mull and Lonnie Jones, Jr.
Survived by children, Margaret (Lonnie) Jones, Dan (Donna) Haskins, Jr., Elizabeth Sue (Alan) Franks, and step-daughter Roseann (John) Yates; grandchildren, Tom (Christy) Yates, Amy Yates Boyanton, and Nathan Haskins; great-grandchildren, Emily and Mary Beth Yates, Will and Wes Boyanton, Daniel, Olivia and Allyson Jones, and Spenser and Katelyn Mull; siblings, Dimple, Anna Rose, Roy, and Willie; and many nieces and nephews.
Deane was a committed Christian and active church member serving in various positions as a teacher and leader. She held several jobs outside of the home including Woolworths, Life & Casualty, and key punch operator with Tennessee government.
During Sue’s high school years, she became an avid bowler, participating on teams supporting the school. She enjoyed sewing and needlework that involved the creation of various dolls including Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls of various sizes. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker focusing on care for her family who will miss her love and prayers.
Family and friends will gather at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home for visitation on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from four o’clock to six o’clock in the evening, followed by funeral service at six o’clock. Private burial at a later time.
