Steve Warren Dunn

Steve Warren Dunn, born, December 10, 1928, age 82, passed peacefully at home Friday, September 9, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margurite McCormack Dunn; Son - Steve R. (Marsha) Dunn; Daughters - Tonna (Mike) Hutchison, Rose-marie (Mark) Beaster, Laurel (Chris) Burton; grandchildren - Jesse Dunn, Shelby Dunn, Erik (Abi) Hutchison, Matt Hutchison, John (Cory) Scurlock, Mandi (Josh) Terry, Josh (Wendy) Scurlock, Toni (Shannon) Sneed, Derek Brady, Kelry Burton, Abby Burton; and 10 great-grandchildren; Foster brother - James Ralph (Butch) Bradley; Special nieces and nephew – Flora (Ronnie) Beard, Fran (Mike) Walker, Jim (Gloria) Hudlow. He is preceded in death by his parents, Levi Harrison (Harry) Dunn and Bessie Lyle Dunn; Foster Parents, Lula Craig and Willie Carpenter; Sisters - Alice Dunn Morgan, Sadie Dunn Mercer, Aretta Dunn; Brother - John Dunn. He was a member of Tusculum Church of Christ. He graduated from Central High School's class of 1947. He began his career at Life and Casualty Insurance Company. He served in the United States Navy from 1948-1950. He drove a city bus for Metro Transit Company for 10 years. He was a sales representative for 34 years for Pioneer Manufacturing Company out of Cleveland, Ohio, retiring in 2005. Funeral services and burial will be held at The Woodlawn Funeral Home on Thompson Lane on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. with Steve Cummings and Jesse Dunn officiating. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, September 11, 2011, 12-6 p.m. and Monday, September 12, 2011, 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
