Shirley McCrary Parham, 90, went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 27, 2015. Shirley was born in Byhalia, MS and moved to Memphis in 1943. She married the love of her life, Dr. Emmett Parham, OD in September 1949 and devoted herself to homemaking for 61 years. Additionally, involvement in school, church, and her community made for a full life. She and Emmett were avid golfers and loved entertaining friends and family. They were long time members of the Fidelis Sunday School class at Colonial Park Methodist Church. She loved gardening, reading, and “oh, could she cook.” A carry over from early banking years was bookkeeping for her husband’s practice. His gift was eyes, hers was numbers. She leaves a legacy of two children, daughter, Vicki Parham Watson of Spring Hill, TN; son, Graham Parham and wife Jamie of Dallas, TX; grandson, Brian Watson, wife Kira, and two great grandchildren, Callen and Macoy of Smyrna, TN. She leaves two remaining siblings, Toy McCrary, and Charlene Meador. Memorial service to be held at Colonial Park Methodist Church, April 12th at 2 pm. Reception will follow in the Garden Room at the church. Memorial gifts can be made to Colonial Park Methodist Church, 5330 Park Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119
