Sharon "Peggy" Mae Tucker

TUCKER, Sharon Mae “Peggy” – of Nashville, was born on the 22nd of October 1936 to the late John Floyd Carroll, Sr. and Sophia Cornelia Hunt Carroll and passed away under the loving care of Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN on the 2nd of April 2013 at the age of 76. Preceded in death by her parents and five siblings. In life, Peggy centered herself around those that meant the most to her, her family. She is survived by and will forever be cherished by her loving husband of 57 years, Wayne Tucker, Sr.; her three children, Wayne (Angie) Tucker, Jr., Angela (Steve) Ramsey, and Melissa (Roy) Turrentine; grandchildren, Jessica Ramsey, Shaun (Kere) Ramsey, Jacob Ramsey, and JosEllen Turrentine; six precious great-grandchildren; sisters, Minnie Coons, Marlyn Tenpenny, and Anne Frisby; brother, Lyndell (Pat) Carroll; a host of nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, "Rusty." The other loves in her life were the things that brought her joy such as reading a good book, gardening, and cooking. Her membership at Haywood Hills Baptist Church spanned 52 years and her fellowship there will be missed. A Celebration of Life service will be held at her church on Friday, the 5th of April 2013 at one o'clock in the afternoon with Bro. Barry Ellis officiating. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Tullahoma, TN. The family will gather for a time of visitation and remembrance at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Thursday from four o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Alive Hospice, The Arthritis Foundation, The American Heart Association, or to Haywood Hills Baptist Church.
