Robert Michael Bauman Jr. (Michael) passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the age of 34. Michael was a beloved husband to Amy, a cherished son to Bob and Kay, a devoted grandson to Nelda, and a treasured nephew to George Cherry and Linda Thomas. He was a loved son-in-law to Don and Deborah Look and brother-in-law to Eric Look. Michael is survived by many other family and friends who were touched by his kindness and warmth. He is preceded in death by his grandfather George Cherry Sr, grandmother Elizabeth Cherry, and uncle Johnny Bauman.
Michael’s desire to live life to the fullest was evident in everything he did. He had an unwavering love for travel and enjoyed exploring new places, often finding joy on the water. He also had a passion for history and loved an opportunity to visit a historic landmark. He traveled inside and outside of the country with loved ones frequently and was always looking forward to the next adventure.
Michael’s humor brought light and laughter into the lives of those around him and he found great joy in making others laugh and smile.
Michael had a big heart for animals and shared unconditional love with his pets. He was adored by his dogs—Lily, Duke, Daisy, and Destiny—and his cats, Indi and Ivy.
Professionally, Michael was ambitious and dedicated, taking great pride in his career at HCA Healthcare. His commitment and drive were evident in every project that he was given.
Michael’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20 from 4-8pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home in Berry Hill. Service will be on Saturday, September 21 at 11:30am at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Nashville Humane Association in Michael’s honor.
