Robert was preceded in death by his father and mother, James Robert Martin and Ida Janette Martin as well as grandson Nathan Harold Blunkall, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Grace Robinson Martin, Stepson Tim (Jeri) Bess, Stepdaughter Penny (Harold) Blunkall. Grandchildren Christina (Josh) Houston, Alicia (Ben) Houston, Roger Blunkall, Dylan Bess. Greatgrand children, Kyler, Kayzley, Kiari, Cora, Ben, Shelby Houston. Also many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cooter worked for American General Insurance Company for over 36 years where he made many friends- both associates and clients.
He was an avid Vanderbilt fan/supporter for over 32 years.
Cooter loved going to bars on weekends- not to drink but to sing karaoke.
