Patrick Sheeran Clepper left this world on August 29, 2019. He was born on March 18, 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Marjorie; brothers, Tim Clepper, Rick Clepper, and Paul Clepper; and sister, Mary Ann Burns. Patrick is survived by his brothers, Mike (Anne) Clepper, John (Martha) Clepper, and Tom Clepper; and sisters, Janis (Sheldon) Jaffe of Chester, NJ, Christi (Dan) Scherrer of Overland Park, KS, and Teresa Clepper; sister-in-law, Verna Clepper of St. Louis, MO; and brother-in-law, Bob Burns of Woodstock, GA.
Patrick graduated from Father Ryan High School in 1972 and later earned degrees in history and political science from the University of Memphis. He briefly taught history and later worked 14 years as an associate for the Kroger Co. until his health caused him to retire in 2010. He loved reading history and watching the Boston Red Sox and Notre Dame football. His family will greatly miss his keen sense of humor and his brave battle living with myotonic dystrophy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with Memorial Mass immediately following at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Ralph Houlihan, S.J. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Patrick's name to the Tuition Assistance at Christ the King School, 3105 Belmont Blvd, Nashville, TN 37212.
