Nina Faye Talbert was born on April 15, 1937 in Decatur, Alabama to Glenville Martin and Zora Williams Owen. She attended Decatur High School. Upon graduation from High School she met the love of her life Jere Talbert and they married on March 9, 1957 in Iuka, MS.
Nina and Jere together created a beautiful life with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nina was a beautiful, loving and giving lady who enjoyed being with others. Some of Nina’s favorite hobbies were sewing, baking, gardening, fishing, camping and feeding others. She had a gift in the kitchen she loved to cook for others. If there was a family meal with eight people she made food for fifty. She made sure everyone ate well and enjoyed it, but really loved spending time with her family. Nina retired from the state in Agriculture where she was a dairy processor.
Nina is survived by her Husband, Jere Talbert; Son, Wayne Talbert; Daughter, Judy (Rick) Henry; Granddaughters, Traci (Derek) Martin, LeAnn (Lenny) Kenny;Grandson, Rick (Kelly) Henry; Great-Grandchildren, Jacob Miller, Caleb Miller, Kegan Kenny, Logan Kenny, Taylor Henry, and Tanner Henry.
Nina is preceded in death by her Mother, Zora Owen and Father, Glenville Martin; Daughter, Bonnie (Donnie) Mitchell.
A Gathering of Family and Friends for Nina will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A celebration of life will occur Friday, February 24, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A graveside service will occur Friday, February 24, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
