Michael L Selfridge of Greenbrier TN (formerly Duncansville PA) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 10th after a year long battle with Leukemia. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Rick and Tim Selfridge, parents Ray and Ramona Selfridge, in-laws Jack and Elizabeth Linderman, and daughter’s life partner Darrel Whittaker. He is survived by his wife, Diane (Linderman), two daughters Bethany and Amber, two sons Josh and Ryan(Leeah), granddaughters Morgan(Hunter) and Tyler, his best buddy grandson Tucker, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Michael was a 1972 graduate of State College High and then entered the workforce at Josten’s Printing where worked his way up from a pressman to the pressroom supervisor. He married Diane in 1988 at formerly known Hicks United Methodist church. He was an active member of Juniata Lodge 282, now known as Hollidaysburg 220, as well as the Jaffa Shriners in the Provost Guard unit.
Michael enjoyed camping, especially with long time friends Mike and Steve, working outside on his farm, and working on his project car, a 1973 Nova. His favorite way to spend his time though was with his grandson, Tucker. He loved family vacations and his favorite destination was Aruba. He could always get lost in a good movie and even ones that weren’t good.
Michael was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, pappy, pops, and friend that will be forever missed. A Masonic service and celebration of life at the Masonic hall in Hollidaysburg PA will be planned at a later date to be announced by the family.
