Mary Anna Springer

was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 19, 2021. She was born July 14, 1928 to Tom Cooley and Veora Snyder Cooley, the first of five children. She was married to Earl Franklin Springer (Dick) for 65 years until his death in 2013. She was known as Mary Anna to her friends and family, and as Miss Mary to her caregivers and residents of Morningside. In earlier days her many interests and hobbies included playing piano, singing and listening to gospel music, flower gardening, bird watching and drawing in pastels and charcoal. She was well read in the Scripture and she studied the Bible daily for many years. In addition to husband Dick and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son David and sister Imogene. She is survived by a son Danny (Nadene), daughter in law Debbie, brother J.L. Cooley, sisters Gloria Baxter and Frances Matlock, grandchildren Keelie, Jill (Addis), James (Brandy), and Anna (Stephen), seven great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be held Monday April 26, at Mount Olivet Funeral Home in Nashville TN with Brother Jud Hays officiating. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. and services at 2 o’clock. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Goodlettsville, TN.
