Manse graduated from Cohn High School in Nashville, Tennessee and received his Bachelor's Degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He had career at the Metro-Davidson County Sheriff Department in which he retired from. Manse was married to Sheila D. Stanfield on June 1, 2014.
Manse was actively involved in church and sang in the choir. He enjoyed playing basketball and chess for fun. He loved attending auctions and spending quality time with family. Manse was a loving and faithful husband; devoted stepfather and brother; loved his cousins, nieces and nephews yet above all he loved the Lord.
Manse was survived by his wife, Sheila D. Stanfield; his two stepchildren, Matthew Bennett and Sara Bennett; four sisters, Octa Lou Vondemmel, Betty Graves, Peggy DeVore and Kathy Blevins; a brother, Phillip Stanfield and 18 nieces and nephews.
Manse was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet M. Stanfield; his parents, Frank R. and Catherine B. Stanfield; his brother, Frank "Bud" Stanfield; his sister, Mary E. Logston; one niece and one nephew.
The family would like to thank Amedysis Home Health for their extended care and compassion over the past years and also Gentiva Hospice for their care.
A gathering of family & friends for Manse will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a celebration of life memorial at 11:30 AM.
