Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Mallernee and Maxine Duncan; her sister, Judy Beatty.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Tidwell of 23 years; her loving sister, Connie Daniel; her children, Kari (Chris) Reed, Andrew (Lynora) Tidwell, Anna (Chris) Irvin; her grandchildren, Andrew and Hannah Irvin and Tallulah Reed; along with many nieces and nephews.
Linda spent many years in the travel industry, which allowed her to journey and experience many parts of the world. Florence, Italy was arguably her favorite place to have visited, with Santorini, Greece coming in a close second.
Linda loved people and had a passion for connecting them to ministry. She was your friend from the first time she met you. She successfully led the Women's Ministry at Brentwood Baptist Church for several years. She was also active in the Early Risers Sunday School Class, Nurture Team, Prayer Ministry, Gideon's Auxilary and many other groups and missions. But nearest and dearest to her heart was Tres Dias Ministry, in which she served singles and couples to build healthier, Christ-centered relationships.
Throughout her illness her goal was to bring glory to God the Father! She shared her testimony of how Jesus loved her and carried her through the challenges of life with grace and mercy. She was truly a follower of Christ and her heart's desire was to see others come to a saving relationship with Jesus.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at 1 p.m., with visitation prior to the service beginning at 11 am. at Brentwood Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Music City Tres Dias, http://musiccitytresdias.org/, a Christian ministry that she believed in and supported with all her heart. Music City Tres Dias, P.O. Box 696, Brentwood, TN 37027.
