Johnnie Hall, Jr., of Nashville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at his home. Mr. Hall was born in Rogersville, TN to the late John and Mary Cook Hall. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis Hessey Hall; daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Bill Hardin, and Tina and Rob Torbert; sons and their wives, Gregg and Lisa Hall, and John L. and Penny Hall; sisters, Laura Howe, Shirley Fields, and Janice Baker; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 o’clock the morning of Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Judson Baptist Church with Dr. Gene Mims, Dr. Raymond Langlois and Dr. Carroll Owen officiating. Mr. Hall was Director of Discipleship Training for the Tennessee Baptist Convention for 38 and a half years. Upon his retirement, he served as Minister to Senior Adults at Judson Baptist Church and Pastoral Care. He was a US Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War. Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons-Jason Hall, Kyle Hardin, Cole Torbert, Carson Torbert, Nephews-Mike Stein, Fred Stein and Great Grandson-Christopher Hardin, other active pallbearers-David McDaniel, Chuck Lowe, Jim Hayes, Ed James, Don Mauldin, Rob Torbert, Bill Hardin, Mark Baker, Hunter Howe, Bob Howe, Richard Wade and Chris Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Judson Jewels, Judson Deacons and retired D.T. Directors. In lieu of customary remembrances, memorials may be made to The Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home or the Judson Baptist Transportation Fund. Visitation will be from four o’clock until eight o’clock the evening of Friday, November 25 and from ten o’clock until service time at eleven o’clock at Judson Baptist Church.
