Jimmy was born, in Dallas, Texas, February 29, 1952, to the late Arthur Lee and Cleo Marie Mathis. He is also preceded in death by a grandson, Terry Lewis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jeanette Mathis; daughters, Teresa Marie (Matt) Lombardo, Dawn Renee Garza and Raquel Marie (Josh) Mathis; sons, Pacer Lee (Holie) Mathis, Billy Joe (Lisa) Mathis and Jimmy Lee (Christina) Mathis, Jr.; sisters, Leona Woodard, Judy Thrailkill and Rita Mathis; and 14 grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, April 23, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, when a celebration of his life will take place, in the Chapel of Eastland Funeral Home. Please join the family to share memories of Jimmy.
