Janet Cecile Roberts

Janet Cecile (Miles) Roberts, age 66, passed away on May 21, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loving family in Lebanon, TN. Janet was born on October 14, 1957, in Colorado Springs, CO to her late parents, John and Dorothy Miles. In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her brother Gregory Miles.

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, David (Phil) Roberts, and her daughters Amanda (James) Lindler, Jennifer (Brian) Vivrette, and Michelle (Justin) Porter, and stepdaughter Reva Roberts. Her ten grandchildren Aaron Gawlik, Zachary Gawlik, Cameron Gawlik, Alexander Lindler, Taylor Vivrette, Colton Vivrette, Sean Bryant, Joshua Porter, Jonathan Porter, and Addison Porter. Her sisters Annette (Clarence) Aiken, Kathryn (Timothy) Davidson, and Kristi Albert, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Janet graduated from Mitchell High School in Colorado Springs, CO in 1975 and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Colorado in 1982. Janet worked as a laboratory technologist for over 30 years, many of those years at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Nashville, TN. Janet enjoyed square dancing, swing dancing, traveling, the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210 with a service to follow at 12:00 PM. A private committal service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
