James L. “Jim” Curtis, age 72, of Franklin, TN passed away September 13, 2019. Born in Soddy-Daisy, TN to the late Harold and Betty Curtis. He was a graduate of the Nashville School of Law and practiced law in Nashville for 46 years. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind, giving and hardworking husband, father, grandfather, lawyer and friend. He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a long-time supporter of the Vanderbilt University football and basketball teams as well as the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators.
Jim is survived by his wife, Susan Guepe; daughters, Kristen (Frank) Davis, Autumn (Paul) Jeter, Lauren (Philip) Graves and Leah(Kevin) Tuohy; grandchildren, Megan and Madeline Hamilton, Cooper and Graham Jeter, Finley and Ford Graves and Ansley and Riley Tuohy; brother, Johnny (Kitty) Curtis of Chattanooga, TN; nieces Beth Jensen and Christina Kirstein; nephew, Scott Curtis; and Aunt, Mary Kathleen Hughes.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 4pm-8pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, and on Wednesday September 18th from 9am-11am at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, in Franklin. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation on Wednesday at 11am at the church with Pastor Katherine Museus-Dabay officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Paul Jeter, Frank Davis, Philip Graves, Kevin Tuohy, Christopher Boner, Jonny Jennings, John Henry, and Ed King will serve as pallbearers.
