January 6, 1924 - October 2, 2021, 1942 graduate of Cumberland High School and WWII veteran. The son of the late John William and Ida Belle Cochran Cato. Preceded in death by wife, Clara Mai McKinney Cato, a daughter, Barbara Gayle Cato Primm and his two sisters, Clara Marie Cornwell and Millie Jean Scott. He is survived by his 2 daughters Linda (Henry) Brendle, and Janet (Rodney) Martin and life companion Pauline Ferrell. His 7 grandchildren: Christi (Chris) Covington, Jeff (Christian) Primm, James (Jeanette) Brendle, Leigh Brendle, Lauren (Devon) Lowe, Kayla (RC) Noel, Yvonne (Gio) Aguirre. His 7 great grand children: Olivia Lowe, Gunner Wiley, Liam Morrell, Alexis Primm, and also Isabella, Sophia, and Sebastian Aguirre. Retired from Nashville Waterworks and a member of Andrew Price UMC. Public Visitation at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home of Nashville, TN on Thursday, October 7, 2021, 5:00-8:00 pm., Friday October 8, 2021 9:00-11:00 a.m. and service in the Woodlawn Chapel at 11:00am, Friday, October 8, 2021. Burial to immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
