This was one of many special memories we shared. This night  was a nice dinner at Suzy Wongs in Nashville and we shared nothing but laughs and memories followed by a night of dancing and loving on one another. I will miss you so much Jake and even though you are gone, I know you’re back in the arms of your momma. Rest In Peace and in power beautiful soul. 

Jacob was a light unto the world. I had the privilege of working with him and getting to know him. We shared lunches several times. He exuded life. I felt like in a few years he’d be my Manager or Director. He had so much talent. Such a tragedy he’s gone. When I heard the news my heart dropped. You’ll be missed Mr. Jones, and sincerely remembered. Gone way too soon :’(

I am so sorry.   Jake was always special to me as a young boy.   He and Brittany came to my house several times to see the animals I kept.     His grandmother, Lois Jones took great pride and love in him and shared it with me often.   I am praying for your peace and comfort through our Saviour.   Your family has lost so much in the recent months.

Jake was always smiling and laughing. We are very thankful that he was a part of our lives and that we got to experience very special moments with him. Love you, Jake! 

I can say that, without a doubt, Jake Jones was my very BEST friend when we were in high school! I’m not sure when our friendship started. He was probably just like “Hey, she’s got some sass and a big booty. You’re going to be my friend!” When Jake told you to do something, you rarely didn’t listen to him. Jake made a HUGE impact on my life and the person I’ve become. He helped me to find my confidence in my awkward teenage years, and helped me to learn to stand up for myself at all times. From my memories, Jake was ALWAYS the funniest (and sometimes the meanest) person in the room. If he liked you, he put you on a pedestal and he always had your back. If he hated your guts, he made sure you knew! Jake never made me feel like I was less just because my parents weren’t wealthy. He was warmth and light and happiness. 💜

 My fondest memories will always be:
- When I was in high school, working at Panera, the shoes I wore to work had a hole in them, and I didn’t get paid til Friday. Jake saw that and was NOT having it. He went straight to the mall that day, bought me a pair of shoes, and brought them to work for me to wear. 👟 
- When we let out early for tornadoes during our junior year of high school, I was home alone. I was pretty freaked out and couldn’t get a hold of my mom who was in Nashville when the tornadoes hit. Jake lived 5 minutes up the road. He came and got me and took me back to his house because he wanted to make sure I was safe. 🌪 
- When Jake and I made a pact that we would go to prom together our senior year because our dates sucked our junior year. 

After high school, we went our separate ways, as most friends in high school do. We had recently gotten back into touch and were hoping to catch up. I’m so sorry that we didn’t get to do that. There isn’t one high school memory that I have that doesn’t involve Jake Jones. To some, he might not have been your cup of tea, but to me, he was the cutest, friendliest, and funniest guy I’d ever known.  🥰

Jake and I had made plans to move to NYC together. We would talk about the neighbourhood we would live in and try to convince each other which neighbourhood was better.
I ended up moving to NYC before Jake was ready to, but we kept in touch and would periodically meet up in random cities--Chicago, Miami, NYC.

You will be so deeply missed, you were such a sweet friend, fly high and fly free!!! 

Rest in peace, power and love, dear friend. The world is not as bright without you today, Jake. Oh to hear you laugh just one more time. Love you + miss you deeply.

Our prayers and love are with Jake's family and friends in this season of immense loss and grief. We celebrate the lives of Jake and Thonda, both taken from our earthly home too soon.  They both surround us in Spirit and will forever stay in the hearts and minds of all who  they loved and all who loved them.

Jake was such a good friend to me, I hope he felt like I was to him. We were strangers as roommates who became very close. After we didn’t live together I still would call him my roommate. Jake was with me when I had to put my cat to sleep that I had for 14 years, it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I just wish I was able to give him that same kind of support. I will never forget this special special friend.
