Guy B. Rochelle

Mr. Guy Buford Rochelle age 89, of Nashville, TN, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015. Mr. Rochelle was born in Nashville, TN, on September 16, 1925, the son of the late Joseph “Joe” Ellis and Mona Brown Rochelle. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and received three bronze stars. Mr. Rochelle retired from the Corps of Engineers after forty years of service. He was a charter member of Brentwood Hills Church of Christ. Mr. Rochelle loved his family and church above everything. He enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, driving the church bus, and joking. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rochelle was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amy Rochelle, and two brothers, Mac and Joe Rochelle. Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Ann Loveless Rochelle of Nashville, TN; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Carolyn Rochelle of Kingsport, TN and Tim and Sherrie Rochelle of Hermitage, TN; grandchildren, Stephen (Amanda) Rochelle of Huntsville, AL, Katherine Rochelle of Birmingham, AL, and Jonathan and Jennifer Rochelle of Hermitage, TN; and great-grandchildren, Scott and Lauren Rochelle of Huntsville, AL; and a brother, Pat Rochelle of Oak Ridge, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015, at ten o’clock in the morning, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Wednesday from five o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening, Brentwood Hills Church of Christ and Thursday from nine o’clock in the morning until the funeral hour, Woodlawn Roesch-Patton-Funeral Home.
