Gene "Bubba" Goforth, age 74, passed away on November 13, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Nashville, Bubba was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to all who knew him.
Bubba attended Howard School and later worked as a cardiovascular technician at Baptist Hospital, dedicating many years to his profession. Known for his straightforward nature, Bubba never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was the kind of man who could offer a word of wisdom, a quick laugh, or a listening ear, and would drop everything to help anyone in need.
Bubba loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time at the lake, riding his Harley, and kicking back with a glass of Gentleman Jack. Above all, Bubba cherished the moments he spent with his beloved wife, Sharon, particularly their rides together on his Harley. His love for family was boundless, and he took great pride in the joy and accomplishments of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; his daughter, Angela (Del) Perry; his son, Jay Goforth; grandchildren, BriAnna (Ryan) Badura, and Kayden Chadwell; great-grandchildren, Noah, Ella, Ryleigh, Parker, Bailee, Aubrey, and Everly; his sisters, Patsy Jenkins, and Betty Carmeny; and his brother, Herbert Goforth. Bubba will be missed deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and strength, and he will forever be remembered as a man who was always just one phone call away.
A gathering of family & friends for Gene "Bubba" will be held Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
