Forrest P. “Tony” Wilson, age 85, passed away on December 21, 2014. Mr. Wilson was born on December 14, 1929 in Nashville, TN, son of the late Sam Jones Wilson and Margaret Helen Tucker Wilson. Mr. Wilson graduated from Cumberland High School and taught agriculture there until the high school closed in 1971. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor’s Degree in in Agriculture Education and a Master's Degree in Horticulture from Tennessee State. He also worked for Metro Nashville Schools and the Tennessee Department of Education in Vocational Education Administration. Mr. Wilson proudly served his country as a lieutenant in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, who recently passed away on December 2, 2014, Jane Wilson; brothers, Col. Howard E. Wilson, Tech Sgt. Dawson E. Wilson and Curtis (Bub) Wilson. Survivors include his daughters, Julie Taylor (Steve), Trudy Jenkins (Johnny); sons, Mark Wilson (Pam) and Eric Wilson (Julie); brother, Jerry Wilson (Ava); grandchildren, Dr. Alex Taylor (Kristen), Jimmy Earnest (Rocky), Melissa Taylor, Rachel Wilson, Nathan Jenkins, Paige Jenkins, and Brianna Wilson; six great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held at two-thirty in the afternoon on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from four-o’clock in the afternoon until eight on Monday, December 22, 2014 and one hour prior to service time at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
