Faye Davidson Waller, age 82, of Pleasant View, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Faye was born January 17, 1940 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Elbert J. Davidson and Rhiney Lou Scott Davidson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Lillard "Hoggie" Waller; sister, Lorell Davidson and brother, Elbert Lewis Davidson.
Faye is survived by her children, Kimberly Waller, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, Charles (Wendy) Waller of Pleasant View, Tennessee and Beverly (Eric) Stone of North Carolina; daughter by choice, Charlene (Pablo) Cadena of Clarksville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Caleb (Emily) Stone, Caz Stone, Sarah (Chase) Kilgore and Brett Waller; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Clay and Caden; a host of nieces and nephews.
Faye was a graduate of Cumberland High School. She worked Maremont Inc. of Nashville and 21st Century Christian Bookstore. She along with her husband were members of Scottsboro Church of Christ and she later attended Pleasant View Church of Christ.
Faye was affectionally known as, "Mawmaw" to her grandchildren and many more. She loved to work crossword puzzles, word search, loved coloring, to travel to sports events, family vacations to the beach. Faye was a devote Vanderbilt Ladies basketball fan- going on the road to see them play. She was a huge baseball fan, especially the Atlanta Braves, the Cincinnati Reds and her grandchildren's sports games-she was their biggest cheerleader. Her family was her core, as well as, her faith.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 from four until eight in the evening at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from eleven in the morning until time of services at two o'clock in the afternoon.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in Dignity Hall of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Bro. John Temple to officiate and Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Pointe Assisted Living, 403 S. Church Street, Adams, TN 37010 and/or Alive Hospice, 1710 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
