Emily was born on May 17, 1930 in Nashville, the daughter of Edmund and Lucille Williams. She married John Walter Jordan, and they spent 67 wonderful years together. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2016.
Surviving are their children, Mary Ellen Tate and John C. (Barbara) Jordan; four grandchildren, Joshua Tate, Jennifer Jordan, Cam (Rosalind) Jordan, and Andrew Walter (Tabitha) Jordan; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be on Thursday, September 19, 2019 from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until one o’clock at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at one o’clock in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Emily will be laid to rest alongside her husband, John Walter at the Tennessee Veteran’s Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN 37221 on Monday, September 23, 2019 at ten o’clock in the morning.
