Donald Edward Lewis

Donald Edward Lewis, age 80, of Antioch, Tennessee left his earthly home on Friday, January 20, 2023. Donald was born to the late Edward and Margaret (Kilby) Lewis on August 14, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Donald married Margaret (Neda) Still on August 29, 1965 in Nashville,Tennessee. He received his Doctorate of Education from the University of Tennessee. He was a co-founder of the Lighthouse Christian School, Radnor Baptist Academy, Lighthouse Baptist Church, and a Pioneer in the Homeschool Movement. He was bible editor for Thomas Nelson Publishing. Donald was a faithful servant of Christ, that following through all aspects of life, from being a husband, friend and bible teacher. He was part of Phi Delta Kappa and Gidon International Organizations. Outside of his work life he enjoyed traveling, fishing, and golfing. He loved writing and hosting murder mysteries for his friends and family.

Donald is survived by his wife of 57 years Neda Lewis; sisters-in-law, Penny (Julian) Thompson, and Angela Still; Brothers-in-law, Chris (Jo) Sill, and Trey Still; nieces, Rebekah (Jason) Cloud, and Grace Still; nephews, Joshua Thompson, and Michael McTavish; great nephews, John Lawson Cloud, Michael Cloud, George Cloud, and Bryan McTavish; great niece, Alex McTavish; along with his brothers and sisters in Christ.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews in Donald remembrance.

A gathering of family & friends for Donald will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1101 LEBANON PIKE, NASHVILLE, TN 37210, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM.
