Charley Sharp is survived by his mother, Margaret Ryan Sharp, and preceded in death by his father, Thomas Pollard Sharp. He is survived by his brothers Tom (Mary), Robert (Mary Ann), Joe (Tricia), Andy (Sheryl), Mark (Jennifer) and sisters Judy Ribar (John), Ebbie Redwine (Jim), and Cathy Zoladz (Dan). Charley is also survived by his son Anthony James “AJ” Sharp. Charley leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Charley was well known for his big appetite and big heart. He always cleaned his plate and would happily accept seconds, except for sweet potatoes. Charley possessed such a generous spirit that he’d offer the shirt off his back if needed.
Charley knew the value of work. He continually held jobs since his teenage years, frequently more than one at a time. He spent 30 years working for the Metro Nashville Water Department before his retirement.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
