Charles Earl Rhodes Sr.

Charles Earl Rhodes Sr., age 82, of Antioch, Tennessee was called home to rest pain free on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He was born in Louisville, KY on February 12, 1941. Charles proudly served in the United States Army with the 31st airborne division.

Charles married the love of his life, Connie Eanes Rhodes on September 15, 1974. They built their life in Antioch, TN. He spent many years working for Metro Nashville in general services. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a Grand Master of the Buena Vista Lodge #639. Charles loved his family and took great joy in his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. His other hobbies included working on cars, watching University of Kentucky basketball, and relaxing at his computer.

Charles was preceded in death by his Parents, Joseph and Marjery Irene Cole Streng; Sister, Patricia Chappell; Brother-in-law, Jack Chappell Sr.; and Daughters, Charlene Rhodes and Donna Johnson.

He is survived by Wife of 50 years, Connie Rhodes; Children, Chaz (Brian) Perry, Charlie Rhodes, Joseph (Beth) Rhodes; Grandchildren, Kellie Johnson, Matthew Wicker, Carson Windrow, Angela, Dylan and Devin Perry, Collin, Preston, Harrison, and Scarlett Rhodes; Great-Grandson, Jasper Johnson; Brother, Wayne Rhodes and many beloved family members.

Pallbearers are Brian Perry, Chaz Perry, Charlie Rhodes, Joseph Rhodes, Carson Windrow and Tommy Hale. Honorary pallbearers are close friends and family.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Charles will be held Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Masonic Service beginning at 7:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. The family of Charles will begin receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:30 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
