Carolyn Sory Perry left us on December 9, 2024, in Murfreesboro, TN. She was born in Nashville, TN on June 13, 1950 to Opie and Tommie Sory. She was the youngest of three children with older brothers Opie and Douglas. She graduated high school from David Lipscomb where she met Bob Perry. They were married in 1969 at the age of nineteen. She was the best mother of three children, Andrea, Robert (Jr.), and Jonathan (Jonny). She was also Ma to many people, but most importantly to her grandchildren:
Lauren and Nolan (Bob and Andrea Hendrix), Cooper and Claire (Robert and Courtney Perry), and Ezrah, Rauri, and Milalena (Jonathan Perry).She was also Ma to Marisol (David and Lauren Pleitez) her only great grandchild.
Carolyn was not only these things, she was so much more. In high school she was active in Girls Scouts and a basketball player. She became a very competitive softball player, a NASCAR fan, a seamstress, a great cook, and an avid reader. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their many activities. She also loved Vols football, lighthouses, the Blue Angels, going camping and fishing, but most of all the beach.
A memorial reception will be held from 1-3PM with story sharing at 2:30 PM on December 15, 2024 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home in the Nashville room. We invite all of her friends and family to join us to celebrate her life.
