Brian Moore, age 30, of Columbia, Tennessee entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 12, 2022 surrounded by family at his residence. Brian was born December 19, 1991 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee to Etta E. Moore. He was diagnosed with spina bifida after birth and later rushed to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee via Vanderbilt LifeFlight.
Brian was given time frames of life expectancy via his doctors during the beginning of this life due to his medical condition. He would have a possibility of walking with leg braces and a walker after using a standing frame that would help strengthen his legs during his early years. Brian also had his wheelchair as well that became apart of him. He dislike for anyone to try and push him around in his wheelchair cause his response was, "I got it!". He always keep a smile on his face and made anyone laugh that he came in contact with.
Brian enjoyed helping his mama do things around the house; rather it be cooking in the kitchen, planting flowers in pots or just sitting on the porch enjoying the sunshine. He enjoyed the times of playing church at home with brothers, Dwight and Christian or even when they would play with their Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars (little cars as Brian call them). Brian enjoyed singing and playing his keyboard in his own special way; his favorite songs were, "Center of My Joy", "I Won't Complain" and "Living Testimony".
Brian professed a hope in Christ in 2000 at East 8th Street Church of God under the leadership of the late Bishop Burford Barbee. He later united with New Zion Original Church of God under the leadership of Pastor Yvonne Ogilvie Gilbreath. He would often ask could he sing one of his favorite songs during morning worship service at New Zion OCOG.
Brian did the unthinkable and unachievable by graduating from Columbia Central High School with his diploma in 2011. Beating all the odds that face him in his childhood. He enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics during his time in school and his favorite event to do was bowling. As the years progressed, he still had his battles of healthcare from having to have his left leg amputated, kidney stones, high blood pressure and many different medicines he had to take. Yet through it all, Brian kept the faith and kept fighting cause he knew God had his back.
