Billy W. Jones

Billy W. Jones, beloved husband and father passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the age of 73. The son of the late Charlie and Mary Ann (Thomas) Jones, Billy was born on January 5, 1950 in Jackson, Tennessee.

In June 1992, he married the love of his life, Anne (Gallagher) Jones, in Houston, TX. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Nashville, TN. Billy enjoyed his retirement years playing music, watching college sports, spending time at the lake, having backyard barbeques, and working on personalized projects around the house. His greatest enjoyment in life, however, was spending time with his family. His lasting legacy will be his big heart, his care for others, his sense of humor, and the induction at the Jackson Rockabilly Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his wife Anne; their children, Timothy and Brittany; his siblings, Charles Jones and Tommy (Doris) Jones; and many nieces and nephews. Billy was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Lola Jones, and his sister, Nora Ann Pasley.

Visitation with family will be from 1:00pm until 3:00pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Hibbett Hailey Funeral Home (429 Donelson Pike). A Celebration of Life will begin at 3:00pm, officiated by Brother Jud Hays.
