Aubrey Clarence "A.C." Graves, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on Saturdaym March 2nd, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was 89 years old.
Born and raised in Trousdale County, A.C. was a multi-sport athlete in his youth, excelling in football, baseball, and basketball. During his service in the United States Army, he met the love of his life, Barbara, a Canadian citizen, while stationed in Germany in 1959. They were married in 1960 and shared a cherished life together for nearly 64 years.
A.C. was a dedicated family man. He was a member of the Civitan Club. He also found great joy in coaching youth sports, passing his passion for athletics onto future generations. He also enjoyed restoring antiques and playing card games with family and friends.
A.C. retired from St. Regis Envelope Company after a distinguished career spanning over 30 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. He was an avid fisherman and gardener, and always up for a good bargain at local garage sales. A dedicated fan of Trousdale County football, he was a regular fixture in the stands. However, one of his favorite activities was attending his grandchildren’s sporting events with his wife.
A.C. is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; daughter, Shelley Davis; son, Robert Graves; grandchildren, Brady (Cristina), Derrick (Katie), and Niki Davis; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Hannah, Scarlett, and Oliver Davis. He was preceded in death by his mother, Reba Irene Tony, stepfather, Ervin, and stepbrother, Don.
The family expresses their sincere gratitude to the friends and family who visited and offered their support during A.C.'s illness. They also extend their heartfelt appreciation to the hospice team for their compassionate care in his final days.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 12:00 to 3:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 S. Dickerson Pike Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072.

A.C. will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of dedication to family, service to others, and love for life will continue to inspire those who follow.
