Altia Mae Taylor

Altia Mae Taylor age 97, passed away on March 20, 2025. She was born on April 7, 1928, in Clarksville, Tn to Clyde and Katie Steeley and was the oldest of 15 children. She is preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Clyde Eugene Taylor, Sr., daughters, Barbara Ann Rouse, Teresa Diane Johnson and 12 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Clyde E. (Sherrie) Taylor, Jr., brothers, Terry Steeley and Eugene Steeley, ten grandchildren, Tammy Johnson, Darrell Johnson, Christy (Todd) Wood, Crystal (Chris) Park, Trey (Terra) Taylor, Jessica Spring, Jason (Tamika) Deal, Emory (Amanda) Rouse, Skip (Denise) Rouse and Lorie McClung. Twenty-three great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She loved attending church and listening to gospel music, working word puzzles, playing bingo and most of all she loved spending quality time with her family. Altia retired from Werthan Bag company after 23 years. After retirement she served as in home care for the elderly until she was no longer able to provide proper care.

Visitation will be on Monday March 24, 2025, from 4-8 PM at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 9-11 AM with funeral service to follow at 11 AM at Mt. Olivet funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
