Robert "Bob" John Shipley

Bob was a member of Duncan Christian Church and also attended Hyndsdale Christian Church. He enjoyed bluegrass and gospel singing, playing his guitar, woodworking, racing, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Virgie Wade Shipley; his two daughters, Dolly Shipley and Bobbie Jayne (Steve) Shipley Reynolds; his son, Randy (Susan) Shipley; a step-daughter, Dianne (Bruce) Moore; two sisters, Shelby Jean Keaton and Peggy (Eddie) Rose, a brother, Roger Shipley; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Faye Graham Shipley; and a son, Rodney John Shipley.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home.
