Daniel "Hunky Dory Starr" K. Doering

Dan was born on June 21, 1974 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Doni Doering and Raymond Doering

He married Brittany Walters on Aug. 4, 2007 in Long Boat Key, FL, and she survives.

Graduating from BNL in 1992, he was a member of the band, playing drums in the percussion section.

Dan was a very accomplished drummer and so loved playing the drums with his school cronies and forming the group “Stone Carnival”. He continued playing with the Jeff Day band and truly loved all the band members and their families, and of course all the faithful fans that followed them wherever they were playing.

Surviving members of his family are his wife Brittany, his mother Doni Doering, his father Raymond (Brenda) Doering, brother, Matt (Amy) Doering, Step sister, Shannon (Tony) Haines,Step brothers Jason (Laura) Neeley, and Randy (Becky) Neeley. Niece Cailey Doering, nephews Nick Doering and Branson (Karma) Smoot, Great niece Mila Smoot and Brothers-in-law Jerry Raley, and Brian (Mo) Walters.

Dan will be sorely missed by all those who love him. We will forever know that a piece of our heart has wings.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held at a later date.
