Sarah Ann Marshall, 51, died peacefully on February, 12, 2024 at her home in Nashua, NH surrounded by her loving family. Sarah was born in Nashua, NH on February 7, 1973. She was the beloved daughter of Joe and Elaine Marshall.
Sarah loved any family gathering or party where she was surrounded by everyone who loved her. She was very friendly, funny, and enjoyed spending time shopping, going to parades, and sporting events. Sarah especially loved the Fourth of July, listening to music and attending social events with the Merrimack Friars. Her most favorite occasion to celebrate was her birthday!
Sarah was a Special Olympian playing on the Merrimack Friars and The PLUS Company teams. She enjoyed track and field, swimming, diving, baseball, and basketball. Sarah also loved cross country skiing at the Winter Games with her dad. Indoor activities she liked included Bingo, Trouble, writing letters, doing puzzles, drawing, playing Skee-ball and, of course, Dunkin Donuts and chocolate ice cream.
Sarah is survived by her father and mother, her two sisters, Carol L. Spooner and her husband David Spooner, of Marco Island, FL; Kristin E. Dion and her husband, Joey Dion of Londonderry, NH; as well as her aunts; Jacqueline Riley of Nashua, NH; and Alice Hairsine of Virginia Beach, VA and several nieces and nephews and their spouses.
A great thank you goes to the exceptional, and compassionate caregivers of The PLUS Company for being present and assuring that she received the best care possible. Sarah lovingly called The PLUS Company employees who worked with her, “her staff”.
Visiting hours will be held at Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home at 26 Kinsley Street, Nashua, NH from 4 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, February 15. Sarah’s Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 777 West Hollis Street, Nashua NH on Friday, February 16 at 9:30 AM. Her interment will take place in St. Louis de Gonzague Cemetery, directly across from the church, at 752 West Hollis Street Nashua, NH immediately following the Mass. A luncheon will be held after the interment at the Nashua Elks Lodge, 12 Murphy Drive, Nashua, NH. All of Sarah’s friends and family are welcome to attend.
