Robert “Bob” Joseph Burley passed away peacefully at the age of 69 in Port Charlotte, Florida, on October 3, 2016, after a sudden illness in the comfort of his daughter and granddaughter. Bob was born on October 17, 1946, and grew up in Merrimack, NH. He also resided in Nashua, NH, San Diego, CA; Louisville, KY; and Fort Myers, FL.
He is predeceased by his parents Bob E. Lambert and Daphne Carpenter Lambert, and brothers Richard Lambert of Nashua and Eddie Burley of Florida. He is survived by his loving companion Vania Silva of Florida; daughter Lesa Carter Burley and granddaughter Taryn Rain Carter of Cadiz, Kentucky; son Adam Joseph Burley and his fiancee Pamela Starkie, stepson Joshua Burton Sundstrom and his wife Ashley of Newton, NH; sister Lois Desrocher and husband Buddy of Hampton, NH; sister Cheryl Lemery and husband Roland of Merrimack, NH; sister Becky Sullivan and her husband Rick of Hollis, NH; sister Diane Mitchell (Lambert) of Nashua, NH; and brother Ricky Lambert and his wife Joan of Merrimack, NH; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Bob joined the U.S. Navy in 1964, where he served on the USS Rowan and USS St. Paul until 1967; his service also included a year-and-nine-month combat tour to Vietnam.
