Peter C Pitarys

Peter was a lifelong resident of Nashua, and he took great pride in his Greek Orthodox faith and attended St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church every Sunday. He was a former president of St. Philip in 1989, and served on the church board for 25 years. He was a great supporter of the church. He enjoyed attending the Deerfield fair every year, and his greatest joy came from cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events.

Peter is survived by his children, Christos P. Pitarys of Lowell, MA, Antonios D. Pitarys and his wife Tara of Londonderry, NH, his grandchildren, Victoria Pitarys, Nicholas Pitarys, Alyssa Pitarys, and Alexander Pitarys, and his God Daughter Kristine Heaton of NY. He is also survived by his brothers James C. Pitarys and his wife Dorothy of Hollis, NH, and George C. Pitarys and his wife Fotene of Nashua, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his sister Diane K. Pitarys of Naples, FL.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Zis-Sweeney & St. Laurent Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St. Nashua. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16 at 10:00AM at St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
