James "Jimmy" Karafelis Jr.

James “Jimmy” Karafelis Jr., 66, of Nashua, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Born on August 30, 1956 in Nashua, he was the son of James and Elaine (Metakos) Karafelis.

Jimmy grew up in Nashua and was educated in the Nashua Public School system. In 1976, he served his country in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1978. He became a highly skilled and self taught painter and carpenter. Jimmy loved helping family and friends with projects around their homes. He was a jokester and a true friend who was always there when you needed him. Jimmy loved spending time at the beach and going swimming.

He is survived by his parents James Karafelis and Elaine (Metakos) Karafelis of Nashua; sister Kris Girouard of Nashua; brothers George Karafelis of Nashua and Bill Karafelis and his wife Donna of New York; niece Katherine Karafelis of Nashua; nephews William Karafelis of Boston and Issac Karafelis of Nashua.

Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, September 14 at Zis-Sweeney & St. Laurent Funeral Home located at 26 Kinsley St, Nashua NH, with a service to begin at 4pm.
