Donna Lee was a little girl when she and her family moved to Florida. She went on to call Miami her home sweet home and has lived there ever since. She was one of six children: one brother and four sisters with whom she would always share her childhood memories with us about growing up in a large family. Growing up in a big family was a blessing for my mother, she always was busy sharing family news and attending family events. Her family was everything and their love and support continue to this day.
Donna loved music and dancing, as a child she attended dance lessons including tap and ballet. Her love of dance continued in her adult years where she studied the art of Belly Dancing at the YWCA, her performance was amazing, dressed in full costume performing live for audiences at many centers and shows for family members. She was very creative and loved to write poetry. Her work was published in the early 2000’s when she submitted the poems written in memory of loved ones that had passed away. Donna Lee was a free-spirited women that lived her life to the fullest including her love of makeup, red lipstick and shiny bling outfits including beautiful one of a kind hats and outfits that would brighten up any room.
Donna Lee met the love of her life, Burgin Lee Reep Jr. (Junior) in 1968.
They were married in 1969 and they started a family right away. Together they had a daughter Lisa Marie and two sons, Anthony Reep and Dominic Reep. Their family grew just as much as their love for each other and she was blessed to go on to become a grandmother. Then she was honored to become a great- grandmother.
She loved family get togethers. She loved all Hoidays, especially Christmas Parties, Birthdays, and Easter egg hunts. She would decorate her home and make her space so joyous and festive. She was happily married for 49 years, they made many beautiful memories together including the births of their children, Boat rides in Elliott key , Anniversaries, family vacations, and beach days were always fun. She was always together with one of her sisters shopping or visiting and never ever far from her husband until his passing in 2018.
