Mary Ann was born in Cleveland, Ohio to William and Mary Ann Spisak on March 27, 1928. She married Arthur Howard Branning in 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio and had 5 children. She later married Donnie R. Johnson in 1979. She graduated from Saint Margaret’s Catholic School in Cleveland. She worked as a Regional Manager for Howard Johnson’s Restaurant. Mary Ann then purchased her own restaurant in Rocky River, Ohio and upon moving to Naples, Mary Ann and daughter Denise opened Naples Family Affair Restaurant and were co-owners and operators of this most successful family business. She was an avid bowler and was in a league and won many awards. Mary Ann was a devout Catholic and attended mass at St. Ann’s and St. John’s Evangelist Church.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by sisters, Vi Horvath, and Georgette Dragnony. Husband Donnie Johnson and lastly her Loving Son Kevin Edward Branning.
Mary Ann is survived by her Son Kenneth and wife Michelle Branning, Daughter Denise, and husband David Welsch, Son Daniel Branning and Son Patrick and wife Carleen Branning, Brother Frank Spisak, Ten Grandchildren; Justin, Adam, Dillon, Rachel, Erica, Bridgette, Claudia, Kenny, Jr., Brianna and Emily and Five Great Grandchildren; Lincoln, Tommy, Vinny, Mason, and Nora. And very special loving best friend of 60 plus years Peggy Lehnert.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 10:30am on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens.
