It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Marlene Cohn Liss on August 1, 2023. She was 71 years old.
Marlene was born to Bernie and Ina Cohn in Montreal, Quebec. Marlene graduated from Wagar High School and furthered her education at Sir George College. She was a devoted wife, caring mother, and fun-loving grandmother. Marlene married the love of her life, Brian, on March 12, 1978. They were blessed with 2 children, Jennifer and Melanie.
Marlene was a buyer for a clothing store in Montreal, Susie Sheers. She also opened her own clothing store, MAD Marlenes and worked in travel booking family trips for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs to Israel. Later in life when she moved to Florida where she had a jewelry business Susie Q Designs. She sold her collection at The Ritz Naples, Country Clubs, Art shows in Florida and North Carolina and The Flamingo Flea Market.
Marlene died after a courageous 4-year battle with Parkinsons Disease. Marlene's final years were under the care of Seascape where she made many wonderful friends.
Marlene is survived by her children: daughter Jennifer Mitchell, Melanie Dessauer and Donna Levinski and her son in laws William Mitchell and Kenny Levinksi and her beloved grandchildren Emma, Samantha, Luke, Kyle and Rachel.
She is also survived by her siblings Gail Ciubotaru, Lawrence Cohen and David Cohen.

A visitation for Marlene will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an entombment at 11:00 AM.
