He was born February 24, 1942, to George Kenneth and Winnivere Helen (Schoonover) Bennett. He married Bobbie Saltzman in October 1982.
He is survived by sons Timothy (DeAnn) Bennett of Ames, IA, Thomas Bennett of Bloomington, IL, Jefferey Saltzman of Phoenix, AZ and four grandchildren Alex, Austin, and Meghan Bennett and Brody Saltzman. He is also survived by sister-in-law Lori Bennett, who provided great comfort following the passing of their mutual loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Bennett, son Scott Saltzman, brother John Bennett, and his parents.
Ken was a graduate of Iowa State University. He was Director of Machine Research & Development for Caterpillar, Inc., retiring in 2005.
He greatly enjoyed golfing with friends, attending events with his sons and grandchildren, and celebrating all of life’s adventures. He was a favorite dinner party guest and was well-known for his hearty laugh and excellent stories. An avid political enthusiast, he deeply enjoyed friendly debates with friends and family alike.
He was a resident of Naples for the last 17 years and a member of the Pelican Marsh Golf Club and Laplaya Beach & Golf Club. He will be much missed by his community.

Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens is handling final arrangements. A Celebration of life for both Ken and Bobbie will be held January 21, 2023, from 2 – 4 pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Naples.
